Use the tools. That's it.
UboraConvert is free for personal and commercial use. There are no accounts, no fees, no upsells. Here's what we do and don't promise.
What's allowed
- Convert, merge, split, compress, sign, OCR — any file you have the right to process
- Use the tools for commercial purposes (e.g. processing client documents)
- Link to specific tool pages from your blog, intranet, or app
- Embed UboraConvert in an iframe inside your own product is not currently supported (we deny iframes for security)
What's not allowed
- Automated scraping or stress-testing of the site that disproportionately consumes CDN bandwidth
- Reverse-engineering UboraConvert to imply Uborasys endorses your derivative product
- Uploading files that infringe copyright or violate applicable law (we can't see what you upload, so this is on you)
No warranty
UboraConvert is provided "as is". The conversion algorithms — PDF→Word, OCR, image compression and so on — are best-effort and not guaranteed to be lossless. For legally-binding documents you should always verify the output yourself before relying on it. We try hard to make the tools good, but we're not liable for any loss arising from output quality, file damage, or browser crashes.
Electronic signatures
Our Sign PDF tool applies a visual signature only. It does not create a cryptographically-signed PDF (PAdES). The legal enforceability of an electronic signature depends on your jurisdiction and the context — for high-stakes contracts you should use a certified e-signature provider with a full audit trail.
Privacy
See our privacy policy. Short version: your files don't leave your browser.
Third-party libraries
UboraConvert is built on open-source libraries including pdf-lib (MIT), PDF.js (Apache 2.0), Tesseract.js (Apache 2.0), SheetJS Community (Apache 2.0), mammoth (BSD), JSZip (MIT), and @imgly/background-removal (AGPL-3.0). Their licences apply to those components.
Changes
These terms may change. The current version replaces previous ones. Material changes will be announced on the homepage.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Uganda. Disputes (we hope there are none) will be heard in courts of competent jurisdiction in Kampala.
